Ciate Velvet Manicure

One of the beauty brands that always come forward with fresh and innovative ideas is the renowned British nail brand Ciaté.

A couple of months ago I wrote about the hottest trend in nail art, named Caviar Manicure, which was actually launched by Ciaté. This brand, that recently became available on Sephora.com and in Sephora stores across North America, now presents another of their numerous innovations – the Velvet Manicure.

Ciaté Velvet Manicure is envisioned like a decadent luxury for the fingertips. The Velvet Manicure kit is directly inspired by the haute couture trends and beauty looks from the catwalk. The idea behind this new product was to make a two-step nail art kit for quick and easy layering of the textures for the ultimately sophisticated and feminine result.

Each Velvet Manicure Kit contains 0.45 oz Paint Pot Nail Polish, a falcon with Crushed Velvet Powder, a Little Black Brush and a clear plastic tray. The procedure is rather simple and it goes in three steps: first you layer the nail with Paint Pot color and sprinkle crushed velvet onto a wet nail. When the ail is dry, simply sweep each nail clean brush and make sure that any excess velvet powder falls into the plastic tray.

Ciaté Velvet Manicure Sets are available in limited edition and priced at $19.00:

  • Berry Poncho
  • Suede
  • Cashmere
All three of them are already available at Sephora.com and in US Sephora stores. The Ciaté Velvet Manicure launches internationally in August 2012.
