Laura Mercier has just released exclusive information about the new collection, previewing what will be hot for Spring/Summer 2012. Laura focused on soft, romantic shades, inspired by sensuous Victorian era, lush lingerie, delicate laces, silk and vintage Boudoirs.

Laura Mercier is a French make-up artist and a painter, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to see her driving inspiration from the Victorian era, a long period of peace, prosperity when arts and crafts virtually flourished. With this new collection, Laura attempts to recreate romantic and feminine look of the Victorian epoch by using corals and modern peaches for lips and wonderful neutral browns and greys for eyes.

The collection launches in January, and here’s what it includes: Eye & Cheek Palette is a limited edition offer that comprises of six eye colors and two cheek colors. The palette retails at $60.00.

Lip Shine glosses are offered in two limited edition shades: Naked Apricot and Tempting Coral. Each of the shades retails at $22.00. Sheer Lip Colour comes in two limited edition shades – Kissed Lips and Baby lips – and a single permanent shade, Nude Lips. Each of them retails at $20.00. Creme Cheek Colour now includes a limited edition shade Innocent Peach, and a permanent shade Oleander. They both retail for $22.00.

Eye Basics, water resistant eyeshadow primers in Flax and Wheat (Beige with pearl/Light-medium beige), retail at $24.00. Tightline Cake Eye Liner is offered in Mahogany Brown and Charcol Grey shade, each retailing at $22.00. Laura Mercier Long Lash Mascara in black, priced at $24.00.
