Revlon’s Global Artistic Director, Gucci Westman, Creates a Show Stopping look for Antonio Berardi

Gucci’s inspiration for Antonio Berardi’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection was a “cool, English country girl.”

The look was “ethereal, translucent and delicate,” as Gucci wanted the models to look as they had a “fresh, squeaky clean face” to compliment the “messy” hair and “beautiful transparent feeling” of the collection.

Berardi used the Moliere Quote “The essence of fencing is to give but by no means receive” as his inspiration. The makeup look focused on radiant skin and romantic eyes as Gucci stated “Healthy skin, healthy lip, healthy girl”.

The eyes were key for this look and remained modern and fresh. The metal grey powder shadow from the Revlon ColorStay Silver Fox Eyeshadow Quad used will remain on trend well into 2011.

REVLON PRODUCTS USED TO GET THE LOOK:

FACE: Skin was prepped with moisturizer then the NEW Revlon PhotoReady Compact foundation was applied using Gucci’s fingers or Revlon’s Foundation Brush for a beautiful luminous glow. Gucci wanted the skin to look healthy and for any natural freckles to remain visible.

EYES: Gucci used the grey from her Multi Use palette and the deeper grey from the Revlon ColorStay Silver Fox Eyeshadow Quad on the lid of the eye.  Layering a little at a time to create a transparent modern eye. The eyes were framed using 2 coats of Revlon Fabulash Mascara in Blackest Black.

LIP: The lips were understated.  Gucci patted Revlon’s ColorBurst Lipstick in Soft Rose gently to enhance their natural lip color and washed over them with a layer of NEW Revlon Super Lustrous Lipbalm from the Spring/Summer 2011 collection.
