Rick Baker for MAC Cosmetics - Fall 2013 Collection

MAC has just announced a brand new beauty collaboration! This time the famous makeup brand is joining forces with special effects makeup artist and Academy Award winner Rick Baker to create an exclusive collection for fall 2013.

Rick Baker, who has created the makeup looks for some of the greatest Hollywood films including “An American Werewolf in London,” “The Nutty Professor,” “The Wolfman,” “Gremlins 2” and “Men in Black,” has already collaborated with MAC on their Master Classes organized especially for makeup artists.

About two years ago, at El Rey Theater, Baker thought attendants some of his best known secrets, by transforming himself from a normal average gentleman to a horrible looking creature painted in a full rainbow of colors. What is really amazing is that he actually used only all a regular pancake makeup in six colors, a couple of brushes and his own fingers. All of the shades and transitions are achieved by using the basic color theory in makeup. See it for yourself:

Rick Baker for MAC Collection will hit the shelves in MAC Pro stores and online in October 2013. The collection will include 15 makeup items! To get an idea of what to expect, check out the music video for Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” for which Baker created the makeup looks back in 1983!
