The famous manufacturer of prestige cosmetics, Estée Lauder, has recently introduced two new night cleansers.
While we all know that cleansing our face is an important part of every beauty routine, most of us would be surprised to hear that there are also some significant benefits to using a second, night cleanser. In a nutshell, you should alternate between two different formulas, one for morning and one for night. The AM cleanser should basically prepare your skin for makeup application, and also soothe and moisturize. The nightly cleanser, on the other hand, should be capable of removing all that excess oil, dirt, and makeup that accumulates during the day. This is extremely important for keeping pores clear from debris and dirt, and ensuring that skincare products are being absorbed properly.
As Dr. Nadine Pernodet, Executive Director, Global Research & Development- Skin Biology at Estée Lauder, explained: “It is important to remove particles like impurities and pollutants that have accumulated on skin during the full day by cleansing in the evening in order to avoid further damage to your skin.”
Two new night cleansers, the Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Balm, and Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Foam, have been developed to purify, revitalize, and nourish skin at the micro level. Both cleansers claim to soothe and soften the skin, while removing long wear makeup formulas, debris, and pollutants. Of course, these high-quality cleansers are also gentle, and non-drying to skin. The cleansers are available in two textures – a balm, and foam – both suitable for all skin types.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Balm features a lightweight solid texture that melts into a cleansing oil as you massage it over the skin. On contact with water, it transforms into a milky emulsion that rinses away makeup, impurities, and pollution. The formula is enriched with soothing lavender and chamomile extracts.
Estée Lauder Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Foam is a mild foaming cleansing cream that purifies skin, removes makeup and pollution. It creates a mild, airy foam that purifies deep within skin's surface, while maintaining skin's natural moisture balance.
The 2.5 oz. jar of Estée Lauder Advanced Micro Cleansing Balm is priced at $45.00. The Advanced Night Micro Cleansing Foam is packed in a 3.4 oz. tube, and it retails at $30.00. Both products are available for purchase at esteelauder.com.
In addition, the brand has also boosted its Advanced Night Repair Range with a brand new Concentrated Recovery PowerFoil Mask, a weekly treatment for fresher, renewed skin. This sheet mask is foil-backed to create a protective barrier, thus allowing the ingredients to penetrate fast and reach deep into the skin to help lock in moisture. A double dose of hyaluronic acid delivers a surge of moisture. The mask retails at $22.00 per piece, or $74.00 for a 4-pack.
