Make Up For Ever has partnered with the famous Swedish electropop duo Icona Pop, for a very special limited edition lipstick collection. The two members Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, along with their makeup artist and MUFE collaborator Colby Smith, teamed with Make Up For Ever to create two limited edition shades of the brand’s Artist Rouge lipstick.
The lipstick range, which includes 45 different shades, now welcomes two very special nuances, dedicated to Caroline and Aino. Each of them picked her own shade, the one that truly represents her. Hjelt selected a matte red lipstick (M401), while Jawo choose a creamy navy hue (C603). In a recent interview for WWD, Jawo said: “I have loved dark shades my whole life,” while Hjelt gave a piece of advice to her fans: “If you want to look cool, bold and just feel edgy, put that on with just mascara, and you are done. It’s like putting on a pair of sunglasses to look cool.”
The new Artist Rouge lipstick collection replaces Make Up For Ever’s Rouge Artist Intense range with an innovative, high-impact formula that is said to be no less than 25% more intense than its predecessor. The Artist Rouge line comprises extremely varied shades, 31 with a creamy finish, and 14 with a matte texture. The long-lasting, hydrating formula is based on nourishing macadamia oil, sunflower seed, and carnauba waxes. Packaged in new signature packaging, the lipstick is available in a wide rainbow of hues, from reds, nudes, pinks, and berries to bold, artistic shades.
