Rosebud Perfume Co., a family-owned business, was founded by George F. Smith in 1895. The business began in a small drugstore across the street from what is now the “Rosebud Building”. The company originally distributed perfumes, salves, soaps and more, but has more recently focused on its flagship "Smith's Rosebud" salve products.
