Lorde teams up with MAC for a limited edition collection, which is scheduled to launch on the 5th of June 2014.
In an interview for The Cut, which was published yesterday, Lorde said: “MAC has a very clear aesthetic that has always felt fashion forward to me. So I was really excited to work with them on these products, which I use pretty much every day and night. I hope you will too.”
No information about the collection has been released yet, but we can perhaps expect bold dark colors lip colors paired with dip-dyed, gothic nail shades… the typical Lorde-inspired vampy makeup.MAC has a history of collaborating with different kinds of celebrities, including musicians such as Rihanna, Niki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige; designers Alexander McQuee, Proenza Schouler and Gareth Pugh; fashion icons Iris Apfel and Carine Roitfeld, and artists such as Daphne Guinness and Cindy Sherman.

Lorde is a 17-year-old New Zealand singer-songwriter who has reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2013, making her the first New Zealand solo artist to have a number one song in the United States. For the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, Lorde received four nominations, in which she won Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Royals". In February 2014 she was chosen International Female Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards.
