Avon Goes Vegan with The Distillery Skincare Collection

Avon, the world’s fifth-largest beauty company, is finally going vegan with its latest skincare launch. The brand has just released The Distillery, a five-piece collection of products that are vegan-friendly, free from harmful chemicals, and housed in environmentally conscious packaging.

After years of scientific research, Avon finally launches a collection that responds to a growing consumer demand for clean, socially conscious formulas. Avon Distillery skincare is vegan, allergy tested, alcohol-free, dermatologically and clinically tested, and fragrance free.

The interesting thing is that Distillery products are smaller in size than regular Avon products. This is because the formulas are more concentrated, and to minimize the carbon footprint. The ingredients are distilled down to their pure essence, without any unnecessary fillers, and thus the name Distillery.

The packaging is the company’s first FSC-certified product line. For now, Avon replaced plastic with recycled glass, paper compacts and no mirrors. The goal for Distillery is to be 100 percent recyclable by 2025.

The Avon Distillery range starts with these five products, priced from £15.00 to £22.00:

Avon’s Distillerey skincare line is now available in the UK only, online and through Avon representatives across the country. The brand has announced a global rollout in the following months, and Distillery makeup coming next year. The incoming makeup collection will include a liquid lip concentrate, a mascara, powder foundation, and eyeshadows.
