Beauty Pro Awards™ - GoPretty.com Debuts 1st Annual Search for the ''Best in Beauty''

The search for the next great beauty professional is on as GoPretty.com officially announces its call for all hair, makeup and nail artists who think they have what it takes to win in this first annual search for the best in beauty.

GoPretty.com, the online resource and community known by industry experts and beauty mortals alike for being the true “beauty expert expert”, and the place online that bridges the gap between beauty professionals and the clients looking for them, has designed the competition to help aspiring beauty pros and rising stars in the beauty world gain exposure, while helping real women gain access to them. The Beauty Pro Awards™ are open for submissions from now until May 1, 2011 and the winner will be announced on June 1, 2011 where they will be presented with $5,000 in cash and prizes, an all expenses paid trip to New York City and the opportunity to spend the morning on the set of “Ambush Makeover” with hair styling legend Louis Licari.

The creation of the Beauty Pro Awards™ is a natural next step for GoPretty.com and its founder and Chief Beauty Officer Tracy Saunders who, through her work hiring and managing elite beauty professionals in New York City, noticed there was no shortage of talent. However, what was lacking were opportunities for these undiscovered stars to gain exposure while growing and developing their brand. Though she saw an abundance of fashion and style based contests and programs, this was not the case for the makeup, hair and nail artists Ms. Saunders met regularly. Says Tracy, “My work has afforded me the chance to get to know some of the most exciting new talent in the beauty community, and it’s also shown me what they need. Many have the skills, but not the resources, including financial and mentorship opportunities, and this definitely slows down their efforts to take things to the next level. The Beauty Pro Awards™ are one way GoPretty.com can help them do just that.”

From now until May 1, 2011 aspiring beauty pros from the following categories will have the opportunity to compete in the contest by entering online at www.gopretty.com. :

• Manicurist/Nail Artist

Potential beauty stars must sign up at GoPretty.com as a Go Pretty Beauty Pro Member to be eligible to compete. Contestants will be judged based on the criteria listed below as well as via their Go Pretty Beauty Pro Member page, which can include an essay, video, and their portfolio.
