Chanel Spring Summer 2019 RTW Makeup Collection
Published: 2018-11-05 by Marina MilojevićChanel’s couture and beauty divisions have joined their forces to bring the new Spring/Summer 2019 RTW Collection from the catwalk to sidewalk.
Last month, at the Chanel’s Spring Ready-To-Wear show, set against a beachy backdrop with clear blue skies and real water undulating into and away from the sandy catwalk, Karl Lagerfeld’s introduced his vision of the seasonal fashion trends: oversized Chanel suits, tweed blazers, tunic dresses, miniskirts, straw hats, seashell embroideries, and Channel logos everywhere. Athleisure finally had a major moment as Lagerfeld finally approved Chanel leggings and cycling shorts.
The most common hairstyle, created by Sam McKnight, was a casual yet elegant, half-up ponytail decked with a simple black ribbon. Chanel's Global Creative Makeup and Color Designer Lucia Pica created fresh and joyful looks by pairing rose colored lipsticks with glowing skin and minimalistic eye makeup.
Thanks to Chanel’s upcoming makeup collection, you can now own the season’s most coveted makeup look! Available from January is the whole assortment of amazing makeup used backstage.
Chanel Les 9 Ombres - Edition N°2 Quintessence, a selection of nine shimmer and matte colors that can be mixed and matched, layered and blended, for infinite day and night looks. The natural-tone palette includes precious hues of silver and gold, combined with rich burgundy hues, midnight blue, and neutral beige.
Chanel Baume Essentiel, a new complexion enhancer, arrives in two options: Sculpting (with a hint of color) and Transparent, which is a clear glossy stick that imparts fresh radiance for that ultimate lit-from-within effect. The transparent version is so versatile that it can be use on top of eyeshadow to create a fresh glossy finish.
Chanel’s Rouge Allure Velvet, in a shade named Infra Rose, was used to recreate the trendy matte blurred effect for the lips. Pica applied this neon coral shade three times over blotting paper, and sealed the look with some fine setting powder.
The collection will also include two new, subdued shades of the lipstick, and additional two shades of the matte stain lipstick formula Chanel Rouge Allure Liquid Powder Matte.
A pair of contrasting Le Vernis Nail Colors, a rosy beige and a Neon fuchsia, rounds up the collection.
Chanel Spring Summer makeup collection debuts January 4, 2019. As always, you’ll be able to shop it all online at Nordstrom!
