Deborah Lippmann Staccato Collection

Here is the first look at Deborah Lippmann’s Spring 2013 nail polish collection named Staccato. There are three new creamy shades infused with black glitter, and everything reminds me so much of the Illamasqua’s ImPerfection collection!

Even though Deborah Lippmann Staccato nail lacquers strongly resemble the Illamasqua’s Spring 2013 textured shades, these new collections beautifully illustrate the power of imagination that Creative Makeup Directors channel throughout their work on new collections. Illamasqua’s crew was inspired by imperfection, by freckles, beauty spots, birthmarks and scars… everything that makes us less perfect in our appearance and yet highlights our uniqueness. Deborah Lippmann, on the other hand, is inspired by delicious cotton candy, sweet oreos, and mint chocolate chip ice cream! I find it so interesting to see that their final products look so much alike! The name of this small nail polish range is also very imaginative. It designates a form of musical articulation, a note of shortened duration separated from the note that may follow by silence. A small dot placed above or below the note indicates that it should be played staccato. Staccato nail lacquers combine black glitter with traditional soft pastel shades and they are very wearable. Each of the shades is issued in a limited edition and it is priced at $19.00. The shades will be available starting from April, at www.deborahlippmann.com, Barneys New York, Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom.
