Dior Golden Jungle Collection for Fall 2012
Published: 2012-07-01 by Marina MilojevićThe upcoming collection by Dior, designed for fall season of 2012, pays momage to the rich history of this haute couture brand and celebrates the very first Dior’s fashion collection, which was launched back in February 1947.
The event that took place in the Dior salons of Avenue Montaigne in Paris, more than 80 years ago, was not only the launch of the “era of The New Look,” but also the introduction of one of the most iconic fashion prints of all times: the leopard print. Ever since then, the jungle motif stands as a signature design of the House of Dior, often being associated with greatest divas of cinematography – such as Marlene Dietrich, for example.
The mystery, sophistication and avant-garde spirit of Leopard Print are now transfused into a makeup collection, sprinkled with gold and mixed with deeply rooting earthy tones. Dior’s new Golden Jungle Collection is personification of the luxury in the urban jungle, and designed for the most sensual and most sophisticated ladies. The collection is already available at Nordstrom, and it arrives to wider market by the end of August.Dior 5-Couleurs Designer Eyeshadow Palette is available in two color harmonies: Khaki Design and Golden Savannah. These will retail at $59.
Dior Addict Lipstick arrives in four jungle-inspired shades: Wild, Instinct, Fatale and Daring. The lipsticks are priced at $30.
