Gucci Drops Glitter Lipsticks for Holiday 2019

Earlier this year, in May, Gucci released a lipstick range inspired by Old Hollywood. With the festive season upon us, the 57-piece lipstick collection is enriched with two limited-edition holiday Rouge à Lèvres Lunaison shades.

Gucci’s lipstick collection, envisioned and designed by Gucci Creative Director, Alessandro Michele, kicked off with three lipstick collections: Rouge à Lèvres Satin, Rouge à Lèvres Voile and Baume à Lèvres. For Holiday 2019, Michelle adds two new lipsticks in new shades and a new formula. Fusing the spirit of self-expression with the sparkling and joyful energy of the festivities, Gucci offers two new glitter shades: Goldie Red and Fay Turquoise.

Designed to deliver lively, vibrant color with a single swipe, the lipsticks feature a unique glittery formula coated in iridescent and sparkling pearls. The formula combines three different types of glitter to create a three-dimensional, sparkly and intense color on the lips. The melting texture is rich and creamy, while the sparkling shades appear bold and unexpected, perfect for recreating Gucci’s signature “imperfect beauty” looks.

The Rouge à Lèvres Satin lipstick is presented in patterned and engraved gold tubes with a colored coating. Goldie red has a fuchsia cap, while the Fay Turquoise has a green cap. The still life images for the Holiday campaign are shot by fashion photographer Colin Dodgson, while the creative genius behind the video is Jeremy Valender.
