Start with the Tanning Preparation Milk several days prior to sun exposure to prime skin to develop a healthy, gradual tan. Protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays is provided by the non-penetrating, 100% mineral sunscreens of micronized Titanium and Zinc. No questionable chemicals or nanoparticles are used. Apply the Sun Creams generously to face and body before and during sun exposure and reapply every two hours after swimming or sporting activities. The After Sun Body Milk is ideal for women, men and children as a soothing, hydrating treatment after sun exposure.

The history of Melvita:

In 1977, Melvita Founder, biologist and nature lover, Bernard Chevilliat, settled in the Ardèche, a region in South-central France known for its natural beauty. There he quickly developed a passion for beekeeping and an appreciation of the incredible resources being produced by his beloved bees that would later become the foundation of Melvita.

Bernard and his wife, Nûriël, founded Melvita (meaning ''honey'' and ''life'' in latin) in 1983 as a natural expression of their commitment to living the organic lifestyle. Melvita began making soap and soon expanded into shampoo, bath products, skin milks, floral waters and other natural organic products. “Faced with the combined assaults of industrial chemistry and parasites, the world of bees was already, in my eyes, a reminder of the world’s increasing fragility. This was why, from the outset, I wanted to place “nature at heart” of our approach and of our ecological and humanistic concerns.” says Bernard.

Long before organic beauty became a trend, Melvita introduced its first fully-organic skincare line in 1991. In 2003, when ECOCERT certification was established, Melvita was among the first companies to gain certification. Today, all Melvita products meet the strict natural and organic cosmetics criteria of ECOCERT, earning the ECOCERT certification and use of the Cosmébio label. ECOCERT requires that any beauty product carrying the COSMEBIO label meets the following criteria:

- At least 95% of the total ingredients are natural

- At least 95% of the total plant-based ingredients are organic

- At least 10% of the total ingredients are organic (water included)
