A couple of weeks ago, a new K-beauty makeup line, named Kaja, launched at Sephora. This 47-unit line, which is actually a result of collaboration between the USA-based K-beauty company Memebox and Sephora, is specifically designed bring South Korean makeup techniques in a line that is tailored to US shoppers.
Kaja cosmetics translates K-beauty color to the US market targeting Millennials and Gen Z consumers. The brand focuses on bringing the exciting textures K-beauty is known for into makeup. For example, some of the products are inspired by Mochi ice cream, which is popular in South Korea. On contact with skin, these Mochi-inspired textures melt and move around like ice cream, before settling into a fine, powder finish.
The product lineup includes some fun to use innovative product such as Cheeky Stamp, which is a cushion-compact style blusher with heart-shaped stamper; Mochi Glow Highlighter, and Mood Balm Color Changing Lip Moisturizers that react with your body temperature, creating a unique shade that's all you. The prices go from $14.00, for a color changing lip balm (the only product in the skincare category). To $24.00 for the Cheeky Stamp Blendable Blush.
