Lipstick Queen Mornin' Sunshine Lipstick
Published: 2017-03-29 by Marina MilojevićPoppy King, the uncrowned Queen of the lipsticks, introduces a brand new funky hue this spring! In March 2017, her brand named Lipstick Queen adds to its colorful portfolio by launching sunshiny bright yellow lipstick.
This unusual bright yellow lip color, aptly named Mornin' Sunshine, is based on the same shade-shifting formula as the legendary Hello Sailor and Frog Prince lipsticks. What this means is that the uplifting yellow shade reacts with your own chemistry to transform into a beautiful bright coral! Same as its predecessors, the latest in the Lipstick Queen's range of color-changing lipstick shades is super moisturizing, sheer, and long-lasting. This particular one, however, looks like a great choice for spring/summer looks!
If you’ve been wondering about the kind of sorcery that lies behind shade-shifting, it is your own body’s pH. Our skin has a thin, protective layer on its surface, referred to as the acid mantle. This means that our skin is fairly acidic, so it can help ward off harmful bacteria and fungi. The optimal pH of human skin is 5,5, but this varies depending on the person, and can even change minute by minute. Depending on where your lips fall on the acidic-alkaline scale, the color changing pigments in this lipstick will turn more pink or more coral resulting in a shade that can’t look the same on two pairs of lips!
Lipstick Queen Mornin’ Sunshine lipstick, formulated with shea and mango seed butters and vitamin E, is currently available for purchase at spacenk.com, for $25.00. The lipstick should also be available shortly also at Ulta.com and Nordstrom.com.
