MAC Cosmetics Light Festival Collection

MAC Cosmetics celebrates Diwali, the most important Hindu festival. Diwali, also known as the “festival of lights,” is celebrated each autumn as a symbol of victory of light over darkness, or good over evil.  The brightest of all Hindu festivals is marked by four days of celebration, each marked by a different tradition. The celebration includes millions of lights illuminating the whole country, and enlightening the skies with firecrackers.

MAC Cosmetics is joining in with the festivities that will commence on 30 October (Sunday) in North India, or 29 October in South India. The famous cosmetics brand is launching the Light Festival Collection in honor of the joyful holiday. The central item of the collection is a limited edition eyeshadow x9 palette that draws on expressive hues of gold, red, and blue. The palette is delivered in a limited edition packaging, which is said to be inspired by the flicker of flames and fireworks. In addition, the collection includes MAC Fluidline Pen, Modern Twist Kajal Liner, and two eyeshadow brushes.
