MAC x Giambattista Valli Lipstick Collection

MAC Cosmetics has announced its collaboration with Giambattista Valli, a famous Italian fashion designer. Giambattista Valli will launch a special line of lipsticks for MAC, beginning next Summer.

Giambattista Valli’s lipstick range is inspired by floral beauty. The range includes five lovely lipsticks, which are packed in colorful cases indicative of the particular shade. The colors are ranging from pale vintage pink, all the way to vibrant red and deep purple. The lipstick range complements Giambattista Valli’s eclectic, free-spirited haute couture range, in which roses are featured as the most prominent motif. The shade selection includes a pale pink, mandarin, peony, red rose, and deep plum. These are described as matte finish lipsticks, with a lip gloss to top it off, in case you wish to change the texture.

In his interview for Vogue.com, Valli said: "I'm very well known for dresses, no? And I thought it was very nice, the idea of dressing your lips. For a creative person, collaborating can be frustrating because you feel that you're limited or stuck within someone else's ideas, but with MAC it was 100 per cent freedom and 100 percent support just to make my idea become a reality, to pull out my flowers and my sense and my emotion and put it into the cooler. "
