OPI x Hello Kitty 45th Anniversary Collection

American nail polish brand OPI is bringing back one of its iconic collections – the Hello Kitty range from 2016. This time, OPI has partnered with Hello Kitty to mark the 45th anniversary of the Japanese pop culture icon. A new color series features 15 Hello Kitty inspired shades, including the bestselling powdery pink hue from 2016, named Let’s Be Friends.

The rest of the collection comprises 11 new festive shades and three glitter shades inspired by the Japanese tradition of gift giving called omotenashi. OPI’s Global Director of Color Collections Jill Bartoshevich has revealed that the shade Let’s Be Friends is the most searched for OPI color in the brand's history. The remaining shades include a rainbow of deep velvet hues, frosty pastels, classic reds and shimmering metallics. All 15 shades will be available in classic Nail Lacquer, long-wear Infinite Shine and pro-only GelColor formulas. The lacquers are packed in limited edition bottles decorated with Hello Kitty's signature bow tie.
