Origins is launching its first CC cream in August this year - the Smarty Plants CC SPF 20 Skin Complexion Corrector.

Origins Smarty Plants CC SPF 20 Skin Complexion Corrector is not only offering color correcting benefits, as any other CC cream, but it also responds to environmental hazards, such as pollution and UV rays, by releasing active ingredients only when the skin actually needs them. This advanced technology is known as a S.M.A.R.T system - Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology.

• The first, protective stage, is activated when the skin is exposed to UV, ozone and environmental pollutants. This is when green tea and white tea are released to diminish free radicals and provide anti-aging benefits, while antioxidant vitamins C and E, are being released to protect the skin from pollution, ozone and environmental stressors. At the end of this stage, thermus thermophilus algae releases water that lightly moisturizes the skin.
• The second stage is a perfecting stage and it involves time-releasing salicylic acid, which are smoothing ingredients used to improve skin tone.
• The third stage is a correcting stage, in which plant-coated mineral pigments are playing the main role. During this stage, blotchy and uneven skin is being instantly color-corrected.
