Rihanna’s first makeup product revealed!

Earlier this year, Rihanna announced that she signed a deal for a beauty line with LMHV. Somewhere in April, the famous pop star broadcasted that her own makeup range will launch at Sephora, in the fall of 2017. At the time, Fenty Beauty by Rihanna was described as “a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience.”

The coming year will see it really take shape, but this fall Rihanna gave us a sneak peek at her very first makeup product – a gorgeous holographic lip color. Rihanna, who is also a brand ambassador and creative director at the German sportswear company PUMA, debuted the lip color at her Spring/Summer 2017 Fenty Puma show during Paris Fashion Week. Rihanna opted for doll-like makeup look achieved using her lovely dewy pink highlighter and doubled-up lashes.

Myiesha Sewell from Sephora Pro, who worked with Rihanna on the beauty look, used a custom blend featuring a bronze and pink holographic shimmer that will go on sale as the first release from Rihanna's Fenty Beauty label. As Sewell summarized: "It's very feminine, very girly, but it also has a tough (Rihannesque) edge to it."

Sewell also used Make Up For Ever Star Powder to create a beautiful holographic glow. She applied it with a small brush, using the draping technique to sculpt the blush from under the cheekbones up to the temples. She also stacked false lashes from Sephora Collection x House of Lashes and Make Up For Ever to create either thick and dramatic or wispy and willowy eye looks.

Rihanna previously collaborated with MAC Cosmetics on three special-edition makeup collections, and has ten different perfumes and colognes under her belt. Stay tuned for more information as we get closer to next fall.
