THE BOTTOM LINE: Though price is quite high for a 50ml tube and I wonder what natural products might achieve similar results, I've found that the product actually works. During a recent bout of dermatitis (dryness and red bumps) on my forehead likely due to stress, dehydration and unsuitable facial products (I test A LOT of facial products), my dermatologist recommended a short treatment of a light steroidal ointment in conjunction with Skincode Essentials 24 Hour De-Stress Comfort Balm. CM-Glucan, a very potent immune system stimulator found in the Essentials collection, is derived from baker’s yeast and has properties that have been extensively studied in wound healing, inflammations and oncology; it significantly enhances the cell renewal rate. My skin is now back to normal and I've since used the comfort balm to help with the healing of a cold sore on my lip (after use with acyclovir) and the itchy stage of a skin abrasion. As I travel quite often and find that I'm prone to breakouts when I do, I think this will be in regular use before and after plane rides.
