Tangerine Tango - Color of the Year 2012
Published: 2011-12-10 by Marina MilojevićPantone Inc, the world’s leading authority on color has just announced that a vibrant shade of Tangerine Tango is going to be the 2012 color of the year! This shade, known as Pantone 17-463, inherits the throne currently held by the Honeysuckle shade.
Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, describes this color as an orange with a lot of depth to it, reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset. She also announces the collaboration with Sephora on a first-ever, limited-edition Color of the Year beauty collection. The collection will include eye lipstick, lip gloss, eye shadow, nail polish and accompanying accessories. It is expected to hit the shelves in March 2012.
The Pantone Color of the Year is an annual influence on fashion and design, and if you want to be trendy you should definitely incorporate Tangerine Tango to you makeup style for 2012. Even though it’s not universally flattering you can’t go wrong with a simple but effective nail polish of this shade. My recommendation is How Street It Is by China Glaze, which retails through salons and professional beauty supply stores nationwide priced at $7. The product is based on the very same formula as all other China Glaze nail polishes: high-glossy, chip-resistant and long-wearing. The formula doesn’t contain DBP, toluene, or formaldehyde.
