TRESemmé Celebrity Stylist John D. on how to create Emmy Rossum’s Critics' Choice Awards hairstyle

Rossum appeared at the event, held at the Barker Hangar on Sunday (January 17) in Santa Monica, California, to support fiancé Sam Esmail‘s show Mr. Robot. Of the many stars that studded the blue carpet, Rossum simply dazzled in Dior’s form fitted black dress with silver sequin insert, a pair of silver-colored heeled Jimmy Choo sandals, and a statement Lee Savage clutch bag. Rossum’s classic black midi-dress was a total standout because of the silver sequin peeking out from a high side slit, where her sexy legs would have otherwise created hypnotic flashes with each movement… Stylish and sophisticated!

“To keep the look fresh and modern, we decided to create a sleek, low ponytail wrapped with a silver cording around the base to add interest and match the silver accents of her dress,” said John D.

John showed us how to get Emmy Rossum’s ponytail at-home in under 10 minutes in these four simple steps, using two TRESemmé products:
