Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Collection

Urban Decay is releasing its much anticipated Alice Through the Looking Glass Collection on May 1st 2016. We wrote about this a couple of days ago, when Urban Decay first announced the sequel to its madly successful “Alice in Wonderland” palette from 2010. This time, Alice returns as a central theme of Urban Decay's new capsule collection, celebrating the upcoming movie release by Tim Burton, starring Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska and Helena Bonham Carter. While the movie arrives on the silver screen on May 27, the collection will debut on the first day of May on urbandecay.com

Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Eyeshadow Palette is a collectible Disney-inspired collection of eyeshadows comprising no less than 20 shades – which is 4 shades more than the previous Alice palette. Five characters from the movie - Alice, Time, Mad Hatter, Red Queen and White Queen – each have four shades dedicated to them.

The packaging is very colorful and bright, inspired by kaleidoscopic swirls of color. The pop-up box includes the wings of a blue butterfly, which is a symbolic figure borrowed from the movie plot.

As Wende Zomnir of Urban Decay explains: “Even if you aren’t attached to the film, the butterfly tells the story of what the makeup is all about, which is transformation.” The eyeshadow palette will cost $60.

Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Lipsticks are available in five shades, each honoring one of the main characters from the movie. The lipsticks are housed in colorful packaging with the same kaleidoscopic motif as the Eyeshadow Palette. The lipsticks will cost $18 each.

On May 5, Urban Decay Alice Through the Looking Glass Collection will arrive to Sephora, Ulta Beauty, select Macy’s stores, sephora.com, ulta.com, macys.com and Beauty.com.
