Urban Decay Naked Skin Shapeshifter Palette

Urban Decay is extending its Naked Skin franchise to include a brand new Shapeshifter Palette. If you’re hoping for yet another Naked eyeshadow palette, then I have to disappoint you right now… Sorry! The Shapeshifter Palette is, as its name subtly suggests, a highlighting and contouring palette.

Honestly speaking, I was hoping that contouring is over, taking a hint from the 2017 runway’s natural and dewy looks - the contours have been completely toned down and replaced by a more of a sunkissed glow that lets the natural beauty shine through. But, if one of the most renowned makeup artistry brands creates a palette like this, I must be wrong.

Urban Decay Naked Skin Shapeshifter Palette is a double-decker contouring palette that includes a selection of contouring shades, concealers, and highlighters. It looks like the creamy pro-quality formulas are housed in the bottom tier, while four pressed powders, highlighters and bronzers, are located on the upper level. A dual-sided mirror separates the tiers.

Five creams to highlight and color-correct:

• pearl highlighter – shimmery highlight
• two shades of color correction
• light contour – a brightening shade
• dark contour – dark crème shade

Four powders:

• pearl highlighter – shimmery highlight
• light contour – a light color for high spots
• dark contour – deep contour, deep sculpting
• medium contour – the transition color or a lightweight daily contouring

Along with the Shapeshifter Palette,  Naked Decay has created the Shapeshifter Double-Ended Brush which includes a fan brush, for blending and highlighting; and a dome brush for creating contour and color correcting. Same as the Shapeshifter Palette, the brush is travel-friendly!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Shapeshifter Palette will be available in two colorways that span the complexion spectrum. The brand hasn't yet announced the release date or price of the new palettes, but stay tuned and we’ll keep you updated. All we know is that it's coming soon to Sephora.
