Vichy introduces Liftactiv Serum 10 Supreme

The house of Vichy extends its highly successful Liftactiv range to include a new, even more powerful version of its best-selling Liftactiv Serum. February sees the launch of Vichy Liftactiv Serum 10 Supreme, a breakthrough formula designed to slow down the rate of skin aging, and boost the efficiency of skin’s core restorative processes. The whole Liftacitv range is formulated around the innovative ingredient named Rhamnose, a plant sugar, which promises to rejuvenate skin thanks to its unique skin-firming anti-wrinkle properties.

Vichy’s newly formulated serum is enriched, for the first time ever, with some new, skin-plumping and moisturizing ingredients. The revolutionary Rhamnose, in concentration of 10%, is now associated with both Hyaluronic Acid and fragmented Hyaluronic Acid. The new ingredient, fragmented hyaluronic acid is composed of small pieces of high molecular weight hyaluronic acid. Essentially, this is a low molecular weight HA, which penetrates the skin better to protect it from oxygen free radical damage and promote its renewal. Vichy has shown that, as a woman ages, her skin recovers from daily aggression much slower than that of a younger woman. The slower renewal means more pronounced and stubborn signs of aging, wrinkles begin to appear, and skin losing its ability to bounce back.

So, what is the main new advantage of the new formula? According to the brand, the serum now delivers up to two times more Rhamnose in the epidermis. In addition, it targets ten different skin concerns, while helping to boost surface skin renewal. The final result is a skin that looks firmer, and more lifted.

To my understanding, high molecular weight HA is added to thicken the formula, and give it a distinctive serum-like consistency. The serum is extremely lightweight and refreshing, it absorbs instantly and leaves a long-lasting feeling of hydration and comfort. The serum is dispensed via a dropper applicator, and it should be used morning and/or evening before your moisturizer.
