Bourjois Bronzing Primer Product Review

I am a fan of bronzing and self-tanning products, especially face bronzers, since I have a very light, pale complexion and I need the boost of colour to seem more healthy. I also have dark spots, result of too many years spent at the beach under the sun. Hey, that's happiness for me and I wouldn't take away those summers. I just wish I wore SPF 50 all the time... Well, now I do.

In a recent visit to the local Sephora store I spotted a promotion on Bourjois products and decided to buy me some. I was especially interested in a strange product that seemed like chocolate mousse and it smelled like that. It's called Bronzing Primer and it promised to give a tan to the skin and at the same time smooth it, nourish it and correct uneven tones while also matifying the skin. Hum, too many promises, I thought, but I decided to bring it home with me to try it since it was at a very good price.

The next day I tried to include it in my daily morning grooming routine. You need to apply this product after cleasing, moisturizing and protecting with sunscreen. And there it was: instant addiction. The Bourjois Bronzing Primer is a thick cream that seems like a foundation. It has a very dark colour for my skin, but that is the only colous it comes in: universal shade. How to use it? Well, carefully and in homeopathic doses. It will last monts because you only need a small touch with your finger for the forehead, another for each cheek and them blend, blend, blend. You have to REALLY blend it well and do not forget your hair line, in order to make it even. If you don't do this perfectly, it turns into a mask. As you apply it you will see that the texture is amazing, really velvety. And it covers some of the imperfections on your skin. When you finish applying it, you will see that the pores look almost invisible, skin looks smooth and soft, while it smells of a soft chocolate scent that will not bother you, I promise.

Now, after you applied it to the skin just like any foundation, you will see that most probably you are orange. Do not worry. The Bronzing Primer was formulated having that in mind. You will need to balance it with a ligher coloured BB cream or a foundation. Don't worry if you think that you will be wearing too many products. This one is non-comedogenic and it does not seem to suffocate my skin. I finish the routine by applying a BB cream that is the same colour as my skin. It blends with the underlayer of the Bronzing Primer, balancing the colour and making me appear tan and healthy just like I need. I stringly recommend it!
