Dior’s upcoming makeup range, designed for the spring season of 2016, is inspired by monsieur Dior’s passion for gardens and flowers. Led by a desire for biological effectiveness, Christian Dior built up his first plot dedicated to cultivating floral plants selected for their exceptional properties in Granville, in the gardens of the seaside villa belonging to his parents. A pioneer in ethnobotany for over 20 years, Dior today cultivates the world’s rarest and most potent flowers that are powerful enough to respond to the needs of the skin. Each of Dior’s Gardens around the world embodies the same philosophy: ultimate performance, complete traceability and absolute respect.
Honoring the passion of Christian Dior for blossoming gardens, Peter Philips, Creative and Image Director for Dior Makeup, has created a glowing, floral collection for the Dior Spring 2016 look. The vibrant, pastel shades and soft textures mimic the bright and radiant atmosphere of the Granville garden, while the pressed powders are imprinted with a distinctive floral pattern.
The central item of the collection are Dior 5-Couleurs Eyeshadow Palettes, which are available in two color harmonies, each priced at $63.00:
Dior Diorshow Colour & Contour Eyeshadow & Liner Duo is a completely new product from Dior. This dual-ended pencil includes a luminous, long wearing eyeshadow on one side, while the other side reveals a highly pigmented eyeliner in coordinated shade, at the opposite end. The Eyeshadow & Liner Duo is available in three shades, each with a retail price of $33.00.
Dior Diroskin Nude Air compact powders are available in two radiant hues: Glowing Pink, and Glowing Nude. The lightweight highlighting formula is infused with a subtle shimmer to awaken the inner glow of your skin. In addition, the formula includes nourishing ingredients such as sweet orange extract, vitamins, and minerals. Diorskin Nude Air retails at $58.00.
Dior Diorblush is offered in a lovely shade named Floral Pink (844). The Vibrant Colour Powder Blush is embossed with a floral pattern, and it features a texture that blends seamlessly with the skin, to leave a veil of natural looking color. The blush is priced at $44.00.
Finally, Dior Le Vernis comes in two seasonal limited edition shades: Bluette and Lilac. The lacquers are priced at $27.00, each.Advertisement
