As reported earlier this year, Drew Barrymore has been very busy preparing to launch own makeup collection with Walmart. The job is finally done and her debut beauty range will enter 1,509 Walmart doors in January 2013.
Drew is new to the beauty industry. She has worked with CoverGirl, as a face and co-creative director, since 2007. This collaboration is ending in January, when she is launching Flower, a color cosmetics collection. This is the first time that the mega retailer is launching its own beauty range. The collection will include 181 makeup products, with prices ranging from $4.98 to $13.98. Barrymore believes that Walmart would be the ideal place to launch and sell her Flower makeup because, as she said: “We want it to be in people’s hands.”Drew Barrymore Flower Makeup Collection will bring 70 units in the face category, 44 in eye, 51 in lip and 16 in nail. The range also includes a BB cream which is, like the rest of the face products from the range, formulated with a branded botanical-driven “soft focus complex” that boosts skin’s glow. The formulas are custom-made at the same price as those used in high-end beauty. Everything is made with Maesa Group, a beauty manufacturer based in France.
