Givenchy Makeup for Chinese New Year 2018

Chinese New Year festivities, also known as the Spring Festival, are celebrated each year at the turn of the traditional lunisolar Chinese calendar. In 2018, the house of Givenchy is joining in the celebrations of  the Lunar New Year of the Earth Dog with a special capsule collection comprising the exclusive limited edition Chinese New Year Le Rouge Lipstick and Prism Libre.

Two special editions are encased in a festive red packaging adorned with gold ornamentation representing cherry blossoms – a traditional symbol of beauty and renewal. Festive decorations paying tribute to the season include the color red, symbolizing happiness and joy evocative of the Spring Festival in China; and the precious shade of gold that stands for good luck and prosperity.

For the 2018 limited edition, the leather sheath of Le Rouge and the lid of the Prisme Libre case, unite all three symbols.

Givenchy Chinese New Year 2018 Le Rouge Lipstick arrives in a bright red shade named 305 Rouge Égérie. This semi-matte lipstick coat lips with intense, lasting color with a velvety finish.

Givenchy Chinese New Year Prism Libre is a limited edition loose powder combining four universally flattering shades to unify, mattify, and give the complexion its radiance. The pastel shades combine together to create a tailored color-correcting finish and a natural-looking result. The black ribbon of Prisme Libre’s powder puff is also adorned with small golden flowers.

Givenchy Makeup for Chinese New Year 2018 is now available for pre-order at Sephora. The lipstick is priced at $40.00, while the Prism Libre comes with a price tag of $60.00
