Hourglass Cosmetics has just announced the launch of its major new release in the lip category, named GIRL Lip Stylo. Available in 20 different shades, the GIRL Lip Stylo lip color is housed in elegant stylograph packaging. Each of the 20 shades from this interesting collection bears a name that empowers women by spreading a message of strength and positivity: Visionary, Influencer, Creator, Explorer, Innovator, Warrior, Achiever – to name some.
The former Calvin Klein model Jenny Shimizu, 49-years-old today, is the star of the promotional campaign for Hourglass GIRL Lip Stylo. As announced by Carisa Janes, founder of Hourglass, Shimizu is a perfect woman to represent the campaign, as her life story reflects the fact that we all live in a world of unprecedented reach - while working as a mechanic, Shimizu was approached to model for the Calvin Klein CK1 fragrance ads and model Calvin Klein fashions. She became the first Asian model to walk and open the show for high end couture labels, and the first lesbian super model. The central image for the GIRL campaign shows a close-up of Shimizu’s face, and she’s wearing the lively red shade named Icon. The campaign was photographed by Mark Seliger, while Alice Lane handled the makeup.
