USE: This quick-absorbing, non-greasy body lotion is made with sweet almond, orange peel and other plant-based nourishing oils to hydrate dry, sensitive skin. Using a lotion can extend the life of your perfume as the oils help to hold the fragrance on skin. This is a body lotion and use on face is discouraged.

TEXTURE & AROMA: Kneipp's Almond Blossom Body Lotion is a lightweight, white cream with a noticeable sweet aroma. I never felt as if I had "put on cream" and experienced no oily residue.

The aroma lingers for only about 5-10 minutes after application. It doesn't really remind me of any other almond-scented products and isn't particularly floral. Rather, there is a light sweetness that would make this lotion perfect for layering a range of fragrances from gourmands to florals and orientals, without interfering with their aromas.

INGREDIENTS: AQUA (WATER), CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE,GLYCERIN, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS (SWEET ALMOND) OIL, PANTHENOL, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE, BETAINE, ISOPROPYL MYRISTATE, DISTARCH PHOSPHATE, CETEARYL OLIVATE, OLUS (VEGETABLE) OIL, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS (SWEET ALMOND) FLOWER EXTRACT, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS HYBRIDOIL, CITRUS AURANTIUM DULCIS (ORANGE) PEEL OIL, POGOSTEMON CABLIN OIL, LIMONENE, LINALOOL, COUMARIN, CITRONELLOL, GERANIOL, CITRAL, P-ANISIC-ACID, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), SORBITAN OLIVATE, CAPRYLYLGLYCOL, ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, ARGININE, TOCOPHEROL.

PROS & CONS: Pros include the product's vegan, plant-based formula and its quick-absorbing, lightweight texture.

The aroma isn't strong enough for it to be considered a "perfumed" product and those looking for an almond-themed product will be surprised to find something quite different.

Priced higher than many supermarket/apothecary products, Kneipp's offerings are of a noticeable quality and are priced far lower than many designer products.

WHERE CAN I BUY IT? $18 USD for a 200ml tube at http://kneipp.com. A travel-friendly 75ml tube is $10 USD.

USE: Kneipp's Almond Blossom Body Wash boasts a soap-free, pH-balanced formula. A little bit of body wash goes a long way and produces a pleasant, aromatic, modest foam. Kneipp encourages customers to later for 1-2 minutes for maximum hydration benefits.

TEXTURE & AROMA: The non-oily texture is kind of like a cross between a gel and a cream. The aroma as noted above is not really a traditional almond scent and lingers quite subtly after use.

INGREDIENTS: AQUA (WATER), SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, GLYCERIN, COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE, COCO-GLUCOSIDE, PEG-40 SORBITAN PEROLEATE, PEG-18 GLYCERYL OLEATE/COCOATE, GLYCERYL OLEATE, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS (SWEET ALMOND) OIL, SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) SEED OIL, BUTYROSPERMUMPARKII (SHEA) BUTTER, PRUNUS AMYGDALUS DULCIS (SWEET ALMOND) FLOWER EXTRACT, AMYRIS BALSAMIFERA BARK OIL, POGOSTEMON CABLINOIL, BENZYL BENZOATE, LIMONENE, LINALOOL, COUMARIN, ALPHA-ISOMETHYL IONONE,SODIUM LEVULINATE, SODIUM ANISATE, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), HELIANTHUS ANNUUS HYBRID OIL, GLYCOL DISTEARATE, HYDROXYPROPYLMETHYLCELLULOSE, PEG-14M, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, SILICA, TOCOPHEROL.

PROS & CONS: Pros include the product's soap-free formula and the fact that the product is completely vegan. For the quality, the product is fairly priced and easy to purchase at the brand's online shop.

The aroma isn't strong enough for it to be considered a "perfumed" product. The body wash does include sodium laureth sulfate which some might find to be a skin irritant.

WHERE CAN I BUY IT? $6 USD for a 75ml tube or $14 USD for 200ml at http://kneipp.com.

THE BOTTOM LINE: Overall, I was really happy with the Kneipp products. I had tried their almond oil in the past (not almond blossom; the regular almond oil does smell strongly of toasted almond) and lavender shower gel and was equally pleased. I found the aromas to be quite subtle and so these would likely be great choices for those looking to use lightly scented bath and body products in conjunction with their perfumes. Though the prices are slightly higher than products I might find at my local supermarket, I like that Kneipp doesn't test on animals and avoids a range of questionable ingredients. The website does offer regular promotions including a 15% coupon off one's initial order when joining their mailing list. They currently have a 30% off Friends and Family promotion running through May 21st.
