USE: "Easy to apply by patting until it is fully absorbed, every morning, after shaving or cleansing, and every evening, after cleansing. It is also easy to collect the small amount of product that does not come out of the dispenser, using the scraper provided in the package. For a more complete anti-age action, combine the use of the Face Cream with the Serum with Baobab Oil and extract of Siberian Ginseng." Erbolario.com

I tried out a small sample of L'Erbolario Face Cream for Men after shaving on two occasions, a little weary about the possibility that it might clog pores or irritate razor burnt skin. I'm happy to report that it soothed razor burn while moisturizing dry areas without any irritation. I patted on a small amount as directed and it absorbed rather quickly without any greasy residue. Though I used samples, the product is housed in an olive green colored pump that I tested in aL'Erbolario shop, easy to travel with and dispenses a fair amount of product.

AROMA & TEXTURE: L'Erbolario Face Cream for Men is a lightweight, white face milk/cream with a noticeable but non-specific aroma and non-greasy texture; I'd just call it "perfumed". The scent doesn't linger, however, beyond initial application.

INGREDIENTS: (via Erbolario.com) Baobab Oil, Coffee Butter, Avocado Oil, Olive Oil, Organic Sunflower Seed Oil, Extract of Dunaliella salina, Extract of Siberian Ginseng, Moisturising-Refreshing Complex (Menthyl PCA), Menthol, Alpha Bisabolol, Pro-vitamin B5, Vitamin E from Soybean, Gamma Oryzanol. There are additional ingredients listed on the sample packets but I don't see salicylates, phthalates or parabens listed.

PROS & CONS: Made entirely in Italy with some unusual ingredients (coffee butter!); 2-in-1 aftershave/moisturizing product; non-greasy; paraben-free.

3-4 times the price of major supermarket brands; minor aroma (only upon application); can be difficult to find and sample.
