Les Diamants Bleus Collection Royale. Powder as a Jewel.

There is now a niche luxury brand for everything. I am talking about the niche where maximum indulgence is brought to you with a huge price tag. In perfume you have, Clive Christian and Xerjoff, boasting the exclusivity of being only for a few and making this the core of their communication. In make-up there are not many examples as pure as Les Diamants Bleus, a collection of three pressed powders that promise to make you feel as rich as the 200 euros you pay for them. I found these sparkling cases in the Global Art of Perfumery expo in Dusseldorf and, just like a turkey, I was immediately attracted to the bling.

“Jewellery Powder Compacts” - this is the designation applied to this product designed and made in France. Les Diamants Bleus Paris is a luxury powder with precious stones in its composition. It comes in three different shades (Clear – Natural – Golden) and it promises to be the ultimate compact powder that comes in a sparkling golden and blue box. Inside, a blend of powdered stones brings you a unique concept in makeup. Ruby, Amethyst, Jade, Pearl, Tourmaline and Amber are the components. You can chose between three different packagings in the Royal Collection: Smart Gold, Silver & Blue or Gold and Blue. The product inside is the same, which makes me think that the collection is more about the design and exclusivity than the actual function.

“It was our passion for beauty and our ambition to provide exquisite items in a contemporary designer style which inspired us to create our brand. Diamonds: symbolic for their power, rarity and timeless beauty. Blue: Royal blue is our brand’s signature colour and an expression of serenity and wisdom.” - Les Diamants Bleus

I wasn't given the chance to sample these powders but I would expect them to do wonders. I will update this when I can experiment with these stones...
