L'Oréal Paris Casting Sunkiss Jelly Review

Spring is here but don't we all dream of summer? Especially that healthy glow we get after some time spent at the beach? Personally, I like the way my hair turns lighter, almost blond, with the effect of the sun and the beach. Well, I would have to wait a few months for that, if I hadn't tried this product from L'Oreal Paris, the Casting Sunkiss Jelly.

This is a famous product online. There are tons of reviews and videos about how to apply it and does it work. It's rather affordable, so I decided to try it. First of all, I have to tell you that my hair is medium brown. And this works differently according to your natural hair color (don't apply to dyed hair). If you have black hair you will have a hard time to reach blond.

So, what is this? It's a simple thing. A gel type of texture that you apply after washing your hair. You leave it, no rinse. And after you either go outside and let the sunshine open your color, or you blow dry your hair. Simple as that. No hard science here. And that's what makes it so appealing to use. No complications, no gloves needed, nothing. I mean I even applied it to my beard!!

Did it work? Yes, absolutely. This is a very gradual effect, though. And that's good if you are not sure of what color you want. You have to use it every day until you get the result you desire. I had to use it for an entire week to give my hair some golden hues. Remember, it doesn't have pigment, it bleaches. So you can expect your hair to lighten its color, but there's also a possibility that it goes red or other undesirable color that you have to compensate later with some color if you dislike it. On my hair it turned into a very light brown with subtle orange hues.

The problem with Sunkiss Jelly is when to stop. Oh and if you have dry hair, please start to use a good moisturizing mask because this can cause some dryness.

I've been using it for a while, and I really love it! It gives me the that gorgeous holiday sun-bleached strands, and works best when I leave it to dry under the sun.
