MAC Cosmetic’s new beauty ambassadors for their upcoming Viva Glam 2017 campaign are Empire co-stars Taraji P. Henson & Jussie Smollett! It looks like MAC’s fascination for Taraji P. Henson, who is one of the MAC’s latest collaborators on a capsule collection that reflects her personal style, is a growing one! While September saw the launch of her namesake online-exclusive MACcollection, the Viva Glamproduct duo will hit the shelves in February 2017.
"Vibrate with confidence and panache! Taraji P. Henson and Jussie Smollett are the latest faces of our #VIVAGLAM campaign! Since 1994, every cent from the selling price of M·A·C #VIVAGLAM Lipstick and Lipglass has gone toward helping women, men and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Coming soon! #VIVAGLAM"
This time, the collaboration is backed by American actor, singer and photographer Jussie Smollett, who has also signed on with MAC. The brand took to social media to announce its latest partnership, stating that, as always, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the Viva Glam products will be donated to communities and organizations that offer aid to people affected with HIV/AIDS, and help prevent the spread of the disease through educational programs. All this is organized through a public charity M∙A∙C AIDS Fund, which was founded by MAC Cosmetics in 1994. The fund, which is supported exclusively by the sale of Viva Glam products has already brought a number of celebrity endorsers to their advertising campaigns, including Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin, Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, just to name a few.
MAC Viva Glam x Taraji P. Henson lipstick is delivered in a gorgeous soft-finish pink-colored packaging, while MAC Viva Glam x Jussie Smollett Lipglass features a transparent tube topped with a pink-colored wand. The lips shades selected by Taraji and Jussie is a matte fuchsia with pearl lipstick, and a matching shimmering lipgloss! As always, the lipstick will be priced at $17.00, while the Lipglass will retail for $16.00.
