The famous American businesswoman, and the owner of the namesake beauty brand, Aerin Lauder, is teaming up with the New York’s Neue Gallery to celebrate the grand opening of the Gustav Klimt’s exhibition. To mark the occasion, Aerin Lauder is launching the Woman In Gold lipstick duo, which is said to capture the spirit of Vienna 1900.

Gustav Klimt, the famous Austrian symbolist painter, had earned his fame thanks to the series of figurative and seductive portraits of society women. One of this highly regarded masterpieces is the sensuous portrait

Adele Bloch-Bauer I, from 1907, which belongs to his golden phase. The painting made from oil, silver and gold on canvas, depicts Adele Bloch-Bauer (1881–1925), an art-loving Viennese salon lady and a close friend of the artist. The painting was appropriated by the Nazis, but it was later returned to the heirs of the original owners and the Austrian state. In June 2006, it was sold for US$135 million to Ronald Lauder the Neue Galerie.  In celebration of the famous masterpiece, which has been on display at the gallery since July 2006, the Neue Galerie Design Shop has partnered with AERIN to unveil an exclusive AERIN Rose Balm Lipstick Set. The limited edition set features two AERIN Rose Balm Lipsticks, which are packaged in golden rectangular cases and presented in a custom black box decorated with the Klimt’s portrait Adele Bloch-Bauer I. The lipsticks are distinguished by their luxurious texture, medium coverage, and high-shine finish. Both shades are described as rich and radiant, as the painting itself. The shade named Lieblingis evocative of the warm blush tones in Adele’s lips, while the shade named Sequin repeats the golden shimmer of her gown.
