Bare Escentuals Announces Pressed Eye Shadows - Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow

Bare Escentuals is a makeup company that creates great natural products ever since 1976. Their products are based on mineral makeup formulas that are natural looking on the skin, wear better than traditional liquid or creamy makeup, and care about the skin.

The mineral revolution in the beauty world started in the mid ‘70s, when Bare Escentuals launched their first powder foundations. These products are still made from crushed pure minerals and offer more natural alternative to the conventional makeup.

The newest addition to the Bare Escentuals makeup range are the eye shadows dubbed Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow 2.0 (duos) and 4.0 (quads). These pressed eye shadows are becoming available in fall. According to the Sarina Godin, vice president of product development, the creation of this product was inspired by the customers demand – they loved loose eye shadows but wanted portability as an option.

The new solid formula preserves the same mineral makeup heritage and values – it is free of fillers, binders, preservatives and synthetic chemicals. The binding agent is actually pure cold-pressed borage oil, that preserves all of the ingredients, including minerals from algae and seaweed, caffeine and cucumber.

This product also delivers antioxidant protection and anti-aging properties, so much required for the delicate skin around the eyes. Regular use of Bare Minerals Ready Eyeshadow increases hydration on the eyelid for 86%, over an eight-week span. The shadows are going to be available in wide diversity of colors, from neutrals to bold hues, with matte and pearlized finishes. Duos will retail for $20 while the expected price for quads reaches $30. The shadows will debut on QVC on Sept. 29 and roll out to stores in October.
