Beauty and lifestyle brand, Bastide, known for its fragrances, body care, and home ambience products, expands into skin care. The brand, which is rooted in artisanal traditions of Aix-en-Provence, debuts in the skin care category with two premium new products: Elixir II Nourishing Oil for Face and Décolleté, and Beauté D’Argile Purifying Clay Mineral Mask.

Just like the rest of the Bastide collection, the skin care segment uses only the cleanest, natural constituents, without any questionable ingredients. The brand doesn’t test on animals, and they even have an ingredient blacklist that is publicly available for anyone to see.

Bastide Elixir II Nourishing Oil for Face and Décolleté is said to be inspired by the brand’s best-selling Huile Sèche Epatante Dry Oil Mist. The oil, formulated with a blend of botanicals, antioxidants, and plant extracts, nourishes and protects the skin against environmental damage. The list of ingredients is quite interesting as it contains some of the rarely seen actives such as Abyssinian Oil, to strengthen the skin’s barrier; Tomato Seed Extract, to stop premature collagen breakdown due to pollution; and Provence Melon Oil, which is rich in antioxidants. In addition, the formula blends cold-pressed Pomegranate Seed Oil and Evening Primrose Oil.
The gold-colored nourishing oil arrives in a drop-dispenser bottle of 30ml and it retails for $105 USD.

Bastide Beauté D’Argile Purifying Clay Mineral Mask is a multipurpose clay treatment that purifies and rebalances the skin, un-clogs congested pores, exfoliates and moisturizes. Formulated with French Roussillon Red Clay, it absorbs excess oil and leaves the skin soft and smooth. Red Rice Extract replenishes moisture and boosts collagen production, while the proprietary Antioxidant Complex gently resurfaces and reduces the effects of pollution.

The mask is presented in a 50ml jar and it comes with a price tag of $60.00.
Bastide skin care is available now at bastide.com.
