Bobbi Brown has just launched a brand new Protective Face Base SPF 50! To be more precise, this is a relaunch of previously discontinued Brightening SPF 50 UV Protective Face Base – a daytime moisturizer with sunscreen for normal to dry skin.

Bobbi Brown Protective Face Base SPF 50 doesn't mention mica, which means that this new product comes in a multi-benefit formula that nourishes the skin, acts as a makeup primer, and provides broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection without affecting skin's pigmentation. The product is very easy to use. You just need to smooth it on the skin before makeup. To ensure maximum protection make sure to apply it liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure and to reapply at least every two hours.

Bobbi Brown Protective Face Base SPF 50 blends nourishing ingredients such as antioxidant vitamin E, mushroom extracts, algae and chamomile extracts. It provides long-lasting hydration, absorbs quickly and resists any pilling or rolling. The only drawback of this formula is that it isn't actually water resistant. This means that, despite of the very high SPF-factor, the formula may not work if you’re swimming or sweating excessively.
