Carlsberg Beer'd Beauty

The Carlsberg Group, a famous Danish Brewing company, and the fifth largest brewery group in the world, has, in collaboration with cosmetics producer Urtegaarden, created a range of male grooming products made from real Carlsberg beer. The new limited edition beauty series is building upon the success of the first one, released earlier this year. The first collection included shampoo, conditioner and body lotion, each formulated with 0.5 liters of freeze-dried beer. In November 2015, Carlsberg's research and development team presents three new products: Shaving Gel, Aftershave Cream and Moustache Cream – all made from real Carlsberg premium beer!

The original and humorous take on men grooming also has a significant social value - it has been specially created in support of Movember, an annual event involving the growing of moustaches, to raise funds and awareness of vital men’s health issues. In addition, many studies have shown beer's significant benefits for skin and hair. It's a cold fact that barley, hops, and yeast – main ingredients of beer - are rich in vitamin B and silicon. Hops also contains a lot of antioxidants, oils and antibacterial acids, which makes it the perfect compound for shaving products.

Since surveys repeatedly show that most of the male groomers use their girlfriends’ or wives’ grooming products, Carlsberg offers more mannish beauty option – a grooming series made from beer. Each product in the new Beer'd Beauty series contains 0,2l of freeze-dried Carlsberg beer. As Carlsberg Brewmaster Erik Lund explains: “The beer is freeze-dried into a powder, and then mixed with organic ingredients in order to create a unique series of products.”

• Carlsberg Beauty Shaving Gel is made of beer. Each 100ml bottle of the product contains 0,2 l. freeze-dried beer. The formula is rich in antioxidants and antibacterial acids from premium hops.
• Carlsberg Beauty Aftershave Cream is a rich and moisturizing shaving product loaded with premium Carlsberg hops. Same as the Shaving Gel, the Cream comes in a green colored pump-dispenser bottle. The outer packaging features a miniature portrait depicting Jacob Christian Jacobsen, a Danish industrialist and philanthropist who founded the brewery Carlsberg.
• Finally, the series includes a Moustache Cream is designed to soften, moisturize and condition your moustache, while delivering a wealth of antioxidant and antibacterial benefits.

Carlsberg Beer'd Beauty products are sold together, as a special trio for a complete grooming routine. The set retails at € 61.15. The limited edition Carlsberg Beer'd Beauty series is available in Carlsberg's online shop, and through special events and consumer promotions, throughout Movember.
