Catrice Prime and Fine Beautifying Primer: Pink Bliss

Published: 2016-07-30 by Miguel Matos in Makeup

One thing that excites me is finding great product at small prices. Be it in perfume or cosmetics. But having a skin condition like melasma, I am always looking for something specific to treat and mask the problem. While I have still not found a good fix to treat it effectively, there are some products that help me to hide the dark spots and I never leave home without them on. Catrice has one that does the trick. Well, to some extent...

Everyday I wear tons of sunscreen and CC creams that cover the dark spots, and this year I think I might have found a perfect sunscreen for this, about which I will tell you in another article (ok, its from ISDIN and it's SPF 50). For now I want to share with you something that will cost you around 5 euros and helps to give your skin a healthier look while it evens skin tone. Catrice's Prime and Fine Beautifying Primer is a cheap wonder that I find very useful. Is is supposed to help keep your foundation in place but it can also be used alone as a cc cream.

Catrice's Prime and Fine Beautifying Primer has a pale pink color and it promises to illuminate your face. Also, it does so without any shimmer or sparkle. Yes you can use and abuse it, even if you are a man like me. What it does? It moisturizes the skin and, because it is rich in vitamin C, it helps boost the health of your skin too. Then, the light pigments and reflective particules illuminate the skin in an invisible but noticeable way. You can't see it but you can notice the difference. In my skin, since I have melasma, this is not sufficient, but if I wear it underneath my regular CC cream, it helps to cover my spots. I've seen some bloggers say that they wear the Beautifying Primer and then just apply some powder. I think that is a nice method if you just have very subtle skin spots or eneven texture. Maybe in the winter when my spots fade out, this will be enough. I do like the overall effect.

Remember to always wear a sunscreen and wear this primer over it, then add your BB or CC cream of your choice if you need extra help. It does a good difference, especially if you've had a rough night and need an extra glow. And for this price, what else could you ask for?
