Caudalie The Mask Collection

Caudalie, which is my favorite skin care brand, has just announced the launch of its new The Mask Collection. The range comprises four masks, each inspired by Caudalie’s Vinothérapie® Spa treatments.

Caudalie is famous for its anti-aging skin care products that are formulated with grape seed polyphenols. The brand was launched in 1995, by a husband and wife Bertrand and Mathilde Thomas. Mathilde’s family owns large vineyards in Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte, Bordeaux, while Joseph is a professor specialized in polyphenols. In 1999, Caudalie launched its spa chain, named Vinotherapie, to offer its loyal customers massage, skin care treatments, and body care treatments with hot spring water (from a hot spring located 500 meters underground, on the family estate) vine and grape extracts. The treatments are powered by the amazing health properties of grapes, which contain many different types of polyphenols shown to help promote overall wellbeing, and deliver versatile anti-inflammation and antiaging benefits.

Caudalie’s new collection, which is strongly influenced by its spa legacy, brings four versatile facial masks, which can be mixed and matched to create your own personalized spa treatment at home. The Masks Collection comprises Instant Detox Mask, Moisturizing Mask, Purifying Mask and Glycolic Peel mask, each priced at $39.

  • Caudalie Instant Detox Mask is designed to bring relief to stressed, irritated skin. The mask combines powerful antioxidants that are able to diminish free-radical damage, as well as a special blend of aromatic nourishing oils - lavender, bergamot, chamomile, sage, cypress, parsley, myrrh and sandalwood. At the base of this product are grape marc, pink clay, coffee, and papaya enzymes.
  • Caudalie Moisturizing Mask is based on skin-fortifying Vinolevure®, which is the brand’s proprietary ingredient, extracted from the walls of wine yeast. In addition, the formula blends grape-seed oil and hydrating hyaluronic acid, to keep the skin soft, supple, and energized.
  • Caudalie Glycolic Peel is formulated with viniferine, papaya enzymes and glycolic acid, to improve radiance and remove dead skin cells, which are mostly responsible for its dullness. Viniferine is another of the brand’s own active ingredients. This ingredient is derived from grapevine sap, and it has an outstanding effect on a radiance and dark spots.
  • Caudalie Purifying Mask blends white clays, zinc, flax seeds, and an aromatic mixture of eight essential oils. The mask clarifies, soothes and balances the skin, while removing any blemishes.

This unique approach is especially beneficial for customers with combination skin, who can use Purifying Mask on the T-zone, while moisturizing the rest of their face with the Moisturizing mask. Similarly, the Detox Mask and Glycolic Peel mask can be used individually, or combined together to banish dullness and promote healthy radiance of the skin.

Caudalie The Mask Collection is hitting the shelves in April 2015.
