Chanel introduces Boy de Chanel its first makeup line for men

The upscale brand Chanel expands into men’s grooming with its first makeup line designed exclusively for gents! A three product range, aptly named Boy de Chanel, debuts this upcoming September in South Korea.

Chanel’s Boy franchise, named after Boy Capel, the lover and muse of Coco Chanel, currently holds products such as accessories and fragrances. The forthcoming makeup line draws inspiration from the women’s world reaffirming once again Mademoiselle Chanel’s vision that beauty is not a matter of gender, but rather a matter of style.
Boy de Chanel collection includes a Foundation infused with hyaluronic acid and fortified with SPF 25, coming in eight different shades. There’s also a matte moisturizing lip balm, and a selection of four eyebrow pencils.
Lee Dong-wook, a South Korean actor and model, is the face of Chanel’s new makeup collection. This is the first time that a Korean celebrity has been chosen to model for Chanel rather than act as a brand ambassador.

Boy de Chanel will be available in South Korea starting September 1st, before they appear on Chanel’s website in November and in stores from January 1st 2019.
