Chanel reveals the Neapolis: New City Spring Summer Collection for 2018

On October 12, in Naples, Chanel held the exclusive launch party for Luica Pica’s new Neapolis makeup collection. Pica, who is Chanel’s Global Creative Makeup and Color Designer, also happens to be born in Naples - the city that inspires Chanel’s spring/summer 2018 range called Neopolis: New City.

Highlighting her unique approach to beauty, Pica hosted a photo exhibition, walking the guests through the photos of her hometown. Capturing the most distinctive elements of Naples, its colors, textures, and adornments, Pica compiled a complete makeup collection focusing on the colors taken straight from the city’s most beautiful elements.

Chanel Neapolis: New City Spring Summer Collection for 2018 will be available from January 2018. Here is your first look at it!

Chanel Les 9 Ombres Palette Edition No1 Fresco is an eyeshadow palette inspired by the color nuances of the city of Naples. The palette includes three opaque eyeshadows, three satin finish shadows, and three luminous shades. These buildable, wet/dry shades can be used to create many different kinds of  looks, from a light touch of color to intense, bold eye.

Chanel Le Vernis arrives in four gorgeous shades inspired by the bright colors decorating beautiful frescoed palaces of the city of Naples: pink cloud, pastel green, vibrant yellow, and tomato red.

Chanel Rogue Coco Gloss arrives in four shades, including Parthenope, a brightly colored nude caramel, and Aphrodite, a transparent celestial blue.

Chanel Rouge Allure Ink is presented in two shades that are said to represent the duality of the city and its beautiful women.

• Enchanting – matte orange red
• Ethera – velvety salmon pink

The same color duality is applied to the Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick and Rouge Allure Velvet Lipstick.

Chanel Poudre a Levres is the new lip palette inspired by the Roman frescoes of Pompeii. The palette includes a moisturizing balm and a pigmented powder for a quick change in finish: Pompeian Red, a Bright Poppy, Parthenope Red, a Purple Red, and Rosa Tempera.

Chanel Ombre Premiere eyeshadow arrives in the shade that recalls the massive marble stones of the city

• Verderame – metalized moss green.

Chanel Neapolisl: New City Collection is currently available for preview at Chanel Fragrance & Beauty Boutique in Florence, Via dei Calzaiuoli 49. The rest of the world will have to wait until January, when the collection debuts at all Chanel’s boutiques worldwide, Chanel.com, and Nordstrom.
