The house of Chanel has just introduced a powerful new sunscreen to its permanent range. The Chanel UV Essentiel multi-protection daily moisturizer with SPF 30 and 50, is designed to protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays, free radicals and pollution.

The new Chanel UV Essentiel is described as an adaptive skincare product, designed to give a tailor-made defense from various environmental stressors. The formula relies on a major scientific breakthrough, according to which our skin has the intrinsic ability to adapt to the environment and change according to external stresses – sun, pollution, weather, etc. This protection mechanism is driven by newly discovered proteins called SPRRs, which are naturally present in skin cells. The intuitive SPRRs proteins are fine-tuned to adapt to the intensity of external aggressors, but they might not be completely effective with long-term exposure. Eventually, SPRRs will start to react less efficiently, and skin will lose its natural capacity to protect itself.

Chanel’s new UV Essentiel incorporates a newly discovered molecule that can stimulate the beneficial effects SPRRs under periods of intense stress. In this way, this protective moisturizer can alter the skin’s shield to adequately respond to the intensity of pollution, environmental stress, and UV rays. The moisturizer cleverly adapts to your own individual needs, based on your lifestyle, skin type, climate, and pollution.

The molecule that stimulates SPRRs is natural-sourced from Tiare flower extract. It is equally effective even under prolonged periods of stress. The molecule is shown to promote integrity, strength and elasticity of the stratum corneum, which is the outermost layer of the skin. The unique protection complex adjusts to the level needed based on environmental conditions, leaving the skin pure, radiant, and flawless.

The sunscreen is formulated with physical blockers, zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. They block both UVA and UVB, they're water and sweat resistant, and they won't clog your pores.
