Christian Louboutin to launch Loubilaque range

The famous shoe designer, Christian Louboutin, has just announced the launch of his latest beauty innovation - the Loubilaque range. Contrary to one of the most prevalent trends in beauty - matte lips - Louboutin channels his love of all things lacquer in a new colorful range of luxurious liquid lipsticks with a vinyl-gloss finish.

The Loubilaque collection, which is scheduled for release later this summer, comprises eight vibrant, densely saturated, high-shine liquid lipsticks. The smooth, sleek formula is specifically designed to reflect light in the most flattering way. It combines highly intense color and shine, as opposed to the gloss achieved by standard liquid formulas.

The designer has demonstrated his vivid imagination on the lipstick’s bottle, which is made of thick, clear glass with a mermaid-tail motif. The bottle is topped with a Turret-like gold-colored crown evocative of the elaborate aesthetics of Middle-Eastern antiquities and the Art Deco movement. A metallic cap features a practical, mistake-proof applicator, and a delicate ring through which the ribbon with metallic details passes. The lipstick’s bottle can, therefore, be worn as a vial around the neck.

Christian Louboutin Loubilaque will be available in eight shades, ranging from decent nudes to fiery reds. The designer’s signature Rouge Louboutin shade will also be offered. This is the only shade in the range that is topped with silver-colored cap, and held on a black ribbon. The rest of the shades are decorated with gold-colored details, and held on delicate beige bands. Each of the shades is infused with its own corresponding scent.

The new Christian Louboutin Loubilaque lip lacquer will be available for purchase in selected stores and on www.christianlouboutin.com from July 2016, priced at 80 euros per shade.
