Clarins Makeup Collection for Summer 2013

Here is the first look at Clarins’ upcoming makeup collection for summer 2013! Thanks to the BrithishBeautyBlogger, we have some preliminary information about the exciting new range which is about to hit the shelves somewhere in April!

It is really hard to tell what the central item of the collection is! The Lip Balms are absolutely gorgeous, the Clarins Quartet Eye Palette and Liner is undeniably captivating and the Bronzing Compact is so delicately detailed that it simply takes my breath away.

Clarins Lip Balms for Summer 2013 are very similar to the Crystal Balms that the brand released last year. However, it seems that the new ones come with much more pigment and in vibrant neon colors. The formula is just the same and it delivers a flush of iridescent color and balmy, restorative coverage that keeps the lips protected from environmental damage and repairs them at the same time.

Clarins Bronzing Compact for Summer 2013 looks (at least to me) like the Aztec Sun Stone, a disk calendar system inherited from the Mayans. The Sun Stone represents the 5 Aztec ages which end in natural disasters. Perhaps this is exactly what has inspired Clarins, an animating idea that lies behind the creation of this collection. However, there is no official information at this point, so this is only my best guess… The shade of the bronzer is universally flattering and it is designed to lend a sun-kissed glow to the skin. The product will be issued in a limited edition.

Clarins is also launching the Quartet Eye Palette and Liner, embossed with the same Aztec-inspired motif. The luxurious gold-colored case brings four shades of eyeshadow: copper, gold, bronze and deep violet, along with the purple eyeliner and two custom applicator brushes. Last but not least, there are two new shades of Clarins Colour Quench Gel Crystal: Pink and Plum.
